Pastor recounted the biblical account of the resurrection from John 20, focusing on Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the risen Jesus.
Emphasized that the disciples were not at the tomb expecting the resurrection despite Jesus clearly predicting His death and resurrection multiple times (example: Matthew 20:17-19).
Their absence was likely due to grief and/or unbelief.
Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene; she recognized Him only when He called her by name.
God can save you – Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10, 1 Timothy 1:15). No other person or religion can save.
God will take you to heaven – Jesus is the only way (John 14:6).
